ABOUT US

Harry initially came to volunteer for only two weeks but three years later he still comes in to cover our reception at lunch time. Harry, we thank you.

MISSION & VISION

Toryglen Community Base (SCIO) is a thriving multi-purpose community resource centre that provides access to a range of training courses, activities and spaces where local people can meet, learn and have fun.

As our gallery shows Toryglen has gone through some major changes over

the past few years. Whilst we welcome these new developments we

recognise our community needs more than new houses in order to grow and flourish.

Our approach is grounded in the belief that local people are best placed to create the solutions which tackle poverty, health inequality and social isolation. Led by the community, we work with local individuals, groups and partner organisations to ensure Toryglen continues to develop into a safe, happy and healthy community.
