Through our partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College, the Base now offer access to free training courses for local people. Whether you are looking to get back into work, are interested volunteering or would just like to learn some new skills we have something for everyone.

COURSES
Emergency First Aid (REHIS)
ESOL
This is a fully certified, one-day course covering CPR, bandaging, how to manage incidents, infection control, heart attacks, strokes, fractures, other illnesses and legislation.

Time 09.15 - 16.00
Currently running as an SQA National Level 3. Spaces are available but not at the SQA National Level at the moment.
Date: Tuesday & Friday mornings
Time: 10 - 12

Jobs & Business Glasgow
This is offered as a confidential one to one service which is tailored to your needs and circumstances. You can use these sessions to create a new CV, participate in Information, Advice and Guidance, complete a job application, undertake job search or prepare for an interview.

Internet, Email and IT for beginners
Food Hygiene (REHIS)
This one day course covers all aspects of Food Hygiene and will be available in the Autumn term. Please contact us for further details or to reserve a place.

Run in partnership with Glasgow Life this new IT course is suitable for those with little or no IT skills. This flexible course can be delivered to suit your needs and is run by an experienced and patient tutor.

Digital Inclusion
You are welcome to drop in and use our Learning Centre at any time. The facilities are free and can be used for work, study, shopping, web browsing or online banking. If you feel less confident using technology our staff are here to help.
Date: Monday to Friday
Time: 09.00 -17.00

Health & Safety (REHIS)
This fully certified, one-day course covers a wide variety of subjects such as slips, trips and falls, risk assessment, fire, electricity, manual handling, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and legislation.
If you have a valid REHIS Elementary Health & Safety Certificate you can apply for a CSCS green card (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) which is required if you want to work within the construction industry, however, you will need to apply for this with another training provider and charges may apply.
